Manager of Career Planning 

Overview: The Manager of Career Planning is a leadership role in the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association, reporting to the Senior Manager of Career Planning. This role is responsible for helping to create and execute offerings that provide members with opportunities for career coaching. 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Help establish strategic vision for the Career Experiences team   
  • Enhance and create LMLA members cover letters, portfolio, and resume workshops  
  • Create an environment where members can make consistent investments into their future  

Requirements 


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Highly passionate about leadership and personal development  
  • Able to hold peers accountable in a constructive manner  
  • Blended leadership style that trains and guides Managers  
  • Results-driven, even if that means having difficult conversations to realign performance  
  • Well-organized, resourceful, and efficient, with the ability to see opportunities and devise solutions  

Time Commitment 

  • Average 5 hours per week, with increased hours during program planning and execution  
  • Attend regular meetings with the Senior Manager of Career Experiences to discuss event planning and progress  
  • Participate in event setup, execution, and evaluation as needed  

Reporting Structure 

The Manager of Career Planning will report to the Senior Manager of Career Experiences and will work closely with other LMLA leaders to develop and execute program initiatives. 


Support and Resources 

The Manager of Career Planning will have access to support and resources from the Senior Manager of Career Experiences, including guidance on event planning and execution, as well as access to budget and resources to support program initiatives.
